Mission Trip Facts
What?
We are going to Tamarindo, Costa
Rica. While
there, we will:

Conduct a Vacation Bible School for local elementary children
·
Distribute clothing, toys, and school supplies in
underdeveloped communities
·
Provide construction and maintenance assistance at local
elementary schools
·
Teach English to local high school students who are
hoping for scholarships to
come to the U.S.
for further education.
·
Provide medical and dental care as well as share
temperance/health education materials
with local elementary and high school students as
well as Adults.
When?
July 21 - 30, 2006
(Friday Sunday)
Who?
A mission team of approximately 25 participants from the Apopka Seventh-day
Adventist Church, including a dental team
Why?
We are
taking this trip because we want to follow Jesus command and example by helping
others,
and this is one way that we can accomplish that. We
are also excited to experience and learn about another culture.
Cost?
Each participant is working to raise $1,400 of the total $35,000 needed for this trip.
These funds
will help purchase materials for our projects as well as provide for our travel and living
expenses while there. All donations are tax deductible and will be acknowledged with a
receipt. All donations are to this Mission Trip project and are non-refundable (even if
the person who solicited the funds chooses to withdraw from the project).
